Hi I’m James, a Taurus Sun with a devil-may-care attitude – but actually this devil cares a lot and is maybe even neurotically concerned about how to open this section of the website…?

I don’t know. I know that trying to write this is reminding me why I don’t do dating apps.

But I also know I’m great at my job.

People always say it and I can see it myself. I make a film set a joy to be on – the work gets done in a collaborative and supportive environment, it tends to be beautifully shot and more often than not, everything runs on time and on budget.

Outside of shoot days I’m also reportedly a pleasure to work with. Clients find me ‘warm, engaging, clear and concise’ – agencies find me ‘flexible, affordable and fun to work with’. I win them work with my creative pitches and I get them out of pickles when they are oversubscribed with work. They know they can ask me to wear multiple hats on a project and that I will help steer the ship with competency and care.

My training as an actor at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama means talent love my ability to understand their process innately, models and influencers are grateful for my nuanced direction. My empathy and sensitivity nurtures regular members of the public to speak on camera with ease, clarity and passion – even when opening up about some of their most challenging personal moments.

I’ve been sent all across the world for work, sometimes with just a few days’ notice, but I can quickly understand complex and nuanced relational dynamics between various stakeholders and creative teams and I navigate these with consideration and aplomb.

When I’m not being an ‘all-round production superstar’ I’m busy worrying about the planet and what we’re doing to it, eating something fun or stroking my cat. Often all three activities at once.
